Student Council

The Students Council is the official medium of communication between the students and the school. All the student office bearers are members of the Students Council. Through this body of representatives nominated annually, the students get opportunities to express their views, make suggestions on various matters concerning the school, learn to shoulder responsibility and have practical training in leadership.

The Students Council meets often to advise the Principal on welfare measures for the students community. They help to maintain school discipline and organize functions in the school. There is a staff advisor on the Students’ Council.

The Children’s Benevolent Fund gives financial assistance to needy students. The Council decides each case on merit and appropriates financial assistance. All these foster qualities of leadership, fellow – feeling and selfless service among the students.

There are also Class Prefects who are entrusted with various responsibilities and they share the task of maintaining proper discipline and decorum in the school. Meeting of the House Captains, Prefects and Sports Captions are held regularly to discuss issues pertaining to students’ welfare.
